Record Heartbeat
Eternal Vault uses heartbeats to know you’re active and in control. Sending a heartbeat is simple and can be done in multiple ways:
1. Record a Heartbeat from the App
On your heartbeat page, just click the Record button. This instantly lets Eternal Vault know you’re active and resets your check-in timer.

2. Automate Heartbeats with API Integrations
You can automate sending heartbeats using our simple API. This is perfect for power users, developers, or anyone who wants peace of mind without manual check-ins.

You can send a heartbeat by making a simple GET request to your unique Heartbeats API URL. This can be done from any device, script, or automation tool.
Android: HTTP Shortcuts
- Use the free HTTP Shortcuts app to automate heartbeats from your Android device.
- Download and import the provided shortcut, update it with your API URL, and you’re set!
- Watch the setup video for step-by-step instructions.
iOS: Shortcuts App
- Use Apple’s built-in Shortcuts app to automate heartbeats.
- Create a shortcut that makes a GET request to your Heartbeats API URL.
- Trigger it on a schedule, when you unlock your phone, or with a tap.
You can use any tool or script that can make a GET request—curl, JavaScript, PowerShell, and more. Just use your unique API URL with your API key.
We’re working on direct integrations with smartwatches and popular apps, so sending regular heartbeats will blend seamlessly into your daily life.
