Link Google Account
If you initially signed up with an email and password, you can link your Google account to enable single sign-on. This makes signing in faster and more convenient while keeping all your existing data intact.
When You Can Link Your Google Account
You can link your Google account when:
- You created your account using email and password
- You try to sign in with Google using the same email address
- Your email address matches your existing account
When these conditions are met, you’ll be prompted to link your accounts instead of creating a new one.
How to Link Your Google Account
Step 1: Sign In with Google
On the login page, click the Continue with Google button. Make sure you select the Google account that uses the same email address as your Eternal Vault account.
Step 2: Review the Link Account Prompt
If an account with your email already exists, you’ll see a prompt asking if you want to link your Google account to your existing Eternal Vault account.

Step 3: Enter Your Password
To confirm it’s really you, enter the password for your existing Eternal Vault account. This security step ensures no one can link a Google account to your vault without your permission.
Step 4: Complete the Link
Click Link Account to finish. Your Google account is now connected to your Eternal Vault account!
What Happens After Linking
Once linked, you gain the flexibility to sign in using either method:
- Email and password - Your original password remains active and continues to work
- Google sign-in - Quick one-click authentication through Google
Both methods give you full access to the same account. All your data remains exactly the same:
- Documents and files
- Contacts and trust levels
- Settings and preferences
- Subscription and billing information
- Vault access and encryption keys
Benefits of Linking Your Google Account
Faster Sign-In: No need to remember or type your password - just click and go.
Added Security: Leverage Google’s advanced security features like two-factor authentication.
Flexibility: Choose whichever sign-in method is more convenient at the moment.
One Account: No duplicate accounts or split data - everything stays in one place.
Security Notes
- Linking accounts requires your password to prevent unauthorized access
- Your vault encryption keys are never shared with Google
- All your data remains encrypted with your master key
- Your password remains active - you can use either sign-in method anytime
- If you forget your password, you can still reset it using the “Forgot Password” link
