Delete Account

If you need to permanently delete your Eternal Vault account, this guide will walk you through the process. Please read this carefully as account deletion is irreversible.

Warning: This Cannot Be Undone

Once you delete your account, all your documents, contacts, heartbeats, and vault data will be permanently removed. We cannot recover this information.

Before You Delete

Download Your Data (Recommended)

Before deleting your account, consider downloading your important documents:

  1. Go to your documents page
  2. Download any files you want to keep
  3. Export your contact information if needed
  4. Save any important vault logs

Consider Alternatives

Instead of deleting your account, you might want to:

  • Downgrade to a free plan if cost is the issue
  • Pause your subscription temporarily
  • Remove sensitive documents but keep the account for future use

How to Delete Your Account

Step 1: Go to Your Profile

Navigate to your profile page and scroll down to the “Delete Account” section.

Step 2: Understand What Will Be Deleted

When you delete your account, these items are permanently removed:

  • All documents - Every file you’ve uploaded
  • All contacts - Your entire trust network
  • Heartbeat history - All check-in records
  • Vault logs - Activity and access logs
  • Account settings - All preferences and configurations
  • Subscription data - Billing history and plan information

Step 3: Confirm Deletion

  1. Click the “Delete Account” button
  2. Type “DELETE PERMANENTLY” in the confirmation field
  3. Click “Delete Account”
Final Warning

After clicking “Permanently Delete Account,” your data will be immediately and irreversibly removed from our servers. Make sure you’ve saved anything important.

What Happens After Deletion

Immediate Effects

  • Your account is deactivated immediately
  • All vault data is queued for permanent deletion
  • You’re logged out of all devices
  • Your subscription is canceled

Within 24 Hours

  • All documents are permanently deleted from our servers
  • Contact information is removed
  • Vault logs are purged
  • Database records are wiped

Billing

  • Active subscriptions are canceled immediately
  • No refunds are provided for unused subscription time
  • Future billing is stopped

If you’re having issues with your account but don’t want to delete it entirely, contact our support team. We might be able to help resolve your concerns without losing your data.

Can I Recover a Deleted Account?

No. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. We cannot restore deleted accounts, recover lost data, or provide backups after deletion. This policy ensures your privacy and data security.

If you decide to use Eternal Vault again in the future, you’ll need to create a completely new account and start from scratch.
