Add Document
Adding documents to Eternal Vault is simple and secure. Follow these steps to upload and organize your important files:
Step 1: Locate the Add Document Button
On the documents page, look for the Add Document button at the top right of the documents table.

Step 2: Fill in the Add Document Form
Clicking the button will open a modal where you can enter the details for your new document.

- Title: Give your document a clear, descriptive name.
- Description: Add any notes or context for this document.
- Select File: Click to choose the file you want to upload. You can also drag and drop a file into the input field.
Eternal Vault supports all common document formats (PDF, Word, Excel, images, etc.) except for video files and archive files (e.g., .zip, .rar).
Step 3: Save Your Document
Once you’ve filled in the details and selected your file, click Add Document. Your document will be encrypted and securely stored in your vault.
You can now view, update, delete the document as needed.
I am being asked to enter the passphrase, what is this?
This can happen if your browser does not have your master passphrase saved. It can be because either you changed your browser or your session expired and you logged in again.
Don’t worry if you see this, you can just enter your master passphrase and it will be saved for the next time you do any interaction with Eternal Vault (until the above happens again).
